What is BRCGS?
The BRCGS Grade AA certification represents the gold standard in food safety management for global food ingredient suppliers. Grade AA is achieved when a facility receives zero non-conformances at the Major level and demonstrates a systematic, proactive approach to food safety management that goes beyond basic compliance.
Audit Scope & Coverage
Our BRCGS audit covered all aspects of food safety management including: HACCP system validation, Prerequisite Programs (PRPs) covering allergen management, pest control, cleaning and disinfection, and traceability; Product labeling and authenticity controls; Environmental monitoring and pathogen control programs; Management commitment to food safety culture.
What This Means for Buyers
The significance of BRCGS Grade AA for our international buyers cannot be overstated. BRCGS certification — specifically at Grade A and above — is a prerequisite for supplier approval by all major European supermarket chains including Tesco, Carrefour, Lidl, Aldi, and Waitrose. It is also accepted as equivalent to FDA's FSMA Preventive Controls requirements for US importers.
